Watch: What Cristiano Ronaldo did vs. Hungary proves he's got a serious problem

After Cristiano Ronaldo was handed a five-match ban for Real Madrid after pushing a referee earlier this season, the superstar is relishing playing for Portugal right now.

He scored a hat-trick against the Faroe Islands during their 5-1 victory on Thursday to take his international tally to 78 goals in just 145 appearances.

However, Ronaldo didn’t quite have it all his own way against Hungary on Sunday night.

Portugal ran out 1-0 winners against 10-men Hungary thanks to Andre Silva’s goal. It keeps their dreams of qualifying for the Russia World Cup alive as they still trail Switzerland by three points with just two qualifiers remaining.

But for Ronaldo, it was a night of frustration.

He was unable to add to his incredible goal tally and was repeatedly fouled by the home side.

And, just like he has on numerous occasions in the past, Ronaldo lashed out.

After he produced a back-heel pass - which nutmegged his opponent - Cristiano kicked out at Attila Fiola in the final few minutes of Portugal’s win.

Luckily, he avoided a red card with both players picking up a yellow for their behaviour.

Ronaldo can consider himself extremely fortunate.

But this is something that Ronaldo is becoming renowned for - taking out his frustrations on an opponent.

In the past couple of season, he has ‘assaulted’ numerous opponents off the ball without being punished.

No matter how good you are, there is simply no place on the football pitch for behaviour like this.
